You have MagicKey installed ?
Since v200 firmware, MagicKey stopped working on my E71. What version of the E71 have you installed ? I may try to reinstall MagicKey again….
I have firmware v210 on my E71 and magickey works great
Is it hacked!!!!
I still couldn’t find a working hack for my E71
[...] site Nokia Addicted publicou um ótimo post com uma lista de programas instalados no E71 que vale muito a pena [...]
Thanks for the info, I just reinstalled it and it WORKS !!
Gerry:
The other day, I was following you on twitter, you had indicated that your e71 was having problems, bloody hell, I am not surprised your e71 was having problems.
The only thing you need now is Gordon Brown itinerary for the day.
Great list, keep up the work.
Could you please point to up-to-date, easy instructions on how to install unsigned apps?

If you want to know how to sign apps, just goto my other site at http://themoth.wordpress.com and I’ve just posted full instructions to get a free developers certificate from OPDA and supply the MobileSigner app to use on ur phone to sign.
The thing is I use every one of these apps!
question, I finally managed to sign magickey (after long time trouble must say)
and it rocks…. I have some questions for you, is there any list of keycodes related to a nokia E71 for reference? I used to be a SE user… for long time, and I miss this, silly, but very great features on my keys:
- I was able to increase and decrease volume, even after keys are locked (not happening in nokia)
_ always using the volume up/down keys, I was able to change tracks (previous, next) by just pressing and holding those keys.
now regarding the signed magic key and other apps that needed signing, are working great, but, what if, hopefully not, my terminal got stolen, or I upgrade to a new symbian phone, does my signed apps will work? is there a way to sign them to work again? I ask this since it took me some time to get a dev cert, on that chinesse site, and I’m pretty sure it won’t work forever…
And, last but not least, thanks for this great articles…..
Not seen a full list of codes anywhere, but pressing the GREEN button and then selecting the required key will give you the code?
The dev cert is only for the specific phone IMEI, if you changes phones you need a new certificate.
hey, regarding your list of apps, this are really great, I want to sugges a few apps I couldn’t leave off:
- Resco Photo Viewer
- PowerMP3 (it is sill beta, but latest version fixed a lot of bugs)
- Best Call Recorder, Answering machine, taskman, and full screen caller
- Handy KeyLock and calculator
- FreeTimeBox (to see the time in every window, with blacklist too so you can set where not to see it)
- Flying Money
This are ones I really use daily….
Thanks on the green key tip, I didn’t knew that.
Hello, Please can someone help. I have tried to load BBC iplayer onto my Nokia e71. I admit I am a complete novice and some of the things I read on here could be in another language! I have been through the instructions on how to load the various files onto my phone but my problem comes with signing things. I have tried various ways with no luck – the latest method being via http://www.opda.net.cn/logging.php?action=login. I signed up last night for the developers certficate as described here: http://thenokiablog.com/2009/04/05/how-to-get-certificate-to-sign-and-install-unsigned-s60-apps/ but now don’t understand how to collect the certficate. Worse still it’s in chinese! Can anybody explain in layman’s terms what all this *.key, *.cer stuff is about and how to get round it? Many thanks in advance…
Have you seen the guide on http://themoth.wordpress.com on how to get ur dev cert and sign apps?
hey tod337422, I went throught the same problems, specially when going bac to the link, as you’re not logged in again, what I did was to open the page with yahoo babelfish translation and there enter my user and password, then click on the link that Gerry suggest on his tutorial (after loggin in the page) and you’re ok, you’ll see your imei, key, etc, for me it took around 24 hrs. let me know if this helped you.
Grabbed a couple of these Gerry – many thanks for compiling them all in one place.
Cheers,
SL
